Schiit Announces Yggdrasil Analog 2

January 16, 2018, Valencia, CA. Today, Schiit Audio announced the first Yggdrasil-specific upgrade since its introduction almost 4 years ago: Yggdrasil Analog 2. Shipping with new-production Yggdrasils since October 2017, Yggdrasil Analog 2 is a thorough redefinition of the original Yggdrasil analog output modules, featuring refined Class-A, all-discrete FET buffers and numerous internal improvements.

“The result is a significantly better-sounding, better-performing analog output module—and a significantly better Yggy,” said Mike Moffat, Schiit’s Co-Founder. “Measurements-wise, Yggdrasil Analog 2 offers higher current output capability and lower noise, but to me, the benefits go far beyond the measurement differences.”

New-production Yggdrasils have been shipping with Analog 2 boards since October 2017, so recent purchasers have already been enjoying Analog 2 for some time. Yggdrasils with Analog 2 boards are designated with a serial number prefix of “B,” rather than “A.”

Keeping with Schiit’s promise of upgradability, all older Yggdrasils are upgradable to the new Analog 2 boards. This can be done via Schiit, or via an authorized service center such as Electromod. The upgrade includes two new Analog 2 module and new firmware for the DSP module.

Yggdrasil with Analog 2 is available now for $2399 (a $100 increase)
