Description
Three watts. Dead silent. Discrete design. Super high performance. Microprocessor protected. Optional internal DAC. Magni 6, $99. Yes, EveryoneGot headphones that need a ton of power? No problem. Got IEMs that reveal every noise? Also no problem. Magni 6 has the power, precision, and control you need. Doubtful? Try it. One Box to Rule ThemAdd Magni’s optional Mesh™ 2 DAC for one box, done. Digital in, tunes out. 4.4mm, ¼”, and switchable preamp outputs. Powered monitors, no problem. Still only $169. Unique, Not Me-TooExotic current-feedback discrete design from 12 years of R&D, not a datasheet. Halo™ motion feedback, not just a 4.4. Mesh™ digital filter, not the one that came in the chip. Relay-switched signal path, 100% DC. No volume control chips. 100% linear power supply. Nothing in Magni is low-effort. Safe and VersatileMicroprocessor oversight to protect your cans. Aluminum front panel buttons select input, gain, and preamp output. Go ahead. Relax. Enjoy. Oh That PriceCan’t be made in the USA, right? But it is. On our own line in Corpus Christi. Hell the chassis is made in California. We’ll do better: also a 3-year warranty, best in the business. No downsides. Don’t like what you hear? That’s fine, send it back within 15 days and you’ll get your money back, minus 15% restock.

FAQ
3 watts?Yes. But not noisy? Not noisy. $99?Yes. How do you do this voodoo?Making them ourselves on our own SMD assembly line (now lines) in Corpus Christi, Texas. Also not being greedy. I have heard that there’s no point in competing with (other countries with huge manufacturing advantages).Sure. So why bother?Because we are insane. Isn’t this like the 17th Magni or something?6th. Hence the marketing graphic you probably hate. Why so many? Why 18 iPhones? No seriously what’s the difference?Lots. The first Magni was super-simple, not even switchable gain, no DAC card, rated at 1W. The only thing it shared was the $99 price. And that was 13 years ago. Why do I want this Magni?Because it’s literally all you need. Have a DAC? It’s $99. Want a one-box amp/DAC? It’s $169. It drives everything, isn’t yet another me-too datasheet design, doesn’t have compromises like switching supplies and volume control chips, is as discrete and perfect as we can make it with 100% DC coupled relay-switched signal path, you know the kind of stuff people brag about on $1K amps, but this one is under $100. Well technically more after tax and shipping.Yes and oh gawd the imposition of our institutions! Nothing we can do about that. Sorry. You could include tax and shipping.Who includes tax? And you do understand that “free shipping” actually means “shipping price included,” which means if you live nearby you’re probably getting boned just a little bit, does that bug you? If I have a Magni 5, should I feel inferior? No. If you feel inferior because of any headphone amp, you should seek help. No, but I have a Magni 5. What am I missing?A bit of power. Microprocessor-controlled switching. Buttons on the front, not switches. Independently switchable preamp outputs. A 4.4mm with Halo. WAIT YOU CAN TURN THE PREOUTS OFF AND ON?Yes. Oh gawd I’m getting one just for that.Yeah, we thought you’d like that. What is Halo?Halo is a mixed-mode feedback system that puts the driver into the feedback loop, a schema that some people think may enhance performance at the transducer, and some people think it may not, and our test results are mixed, and headphones don’t exhibit as much impedance variation and back EMF as big floppy speakers so the results may be harder to find. We figured we could spend 6 years testing it and maybe never release a product, or we could run with it, given that most people who’ve heard it think there’s an audible difference between Halo and non-Halo outputs. Oh no not engineerese.Yeah, sorry. To keep it simple: Halo’s only on the 4.4mm output. If you like that one better, it may be because of Halo. Or vice-versa. What if I have (insert name of nearly impossible to drive, $2000+ headphone here)? Then you know you have it. Get something with more power. We make tons of those things. However, you could also simply try Magni 6, for the price of skipping Five Guys for a couple of days. You might be very very very surprised by what it can do. Hey I didn’t understand that previous question. That’s because you are a normal human. You know how some people are super into pourover coffee and can tell you what kind of water to spritz on the beans before grinding? Like that. I didn’t understand that either.Cool. Like we said, normal human. You’ll love Magni. What is a Magni anyway?Magni is one of Thor’s sons. At least in Norse mythology. Here, it’s the headphone amp (or amp/DAC) for everyone.
