Buying
Where can I buy some Schiit?
Most people buy right here on the site, but let's break it down:
- Buy via Schiit.com. This is the most popular option. It usually gets you the lowest price.
- Buy via Amazon. We have placed some of our line on Amazon USA as well, so you can use points and stuff.
- Buy via international distributors. Distributors have their own prices, policies, and warranties that may not match ours.
I heard about this Schiitr thing, can I buy there?
Schiitrs are unique showrooms for our gear. They will typically offer an incentive, such as free shipping, if a visitor chooses to purchase Schiit products after visiting them. Contact them for details.
I found your product on eBay, is that legit?
No. It will be used product and not covered under warranty, regardless of claims by the seller. Repeat: there are NO authorized sellers on eBay.
How about buying on Amazon's international presences (amazon.jp, amazon.co.ok, etc)?
Better make sure it's listed by one of our authorized distributors if you want support and warranty service. Schiit only sells USA voltages on amazon.com.
Do you charge my card immediately, or when you ship?
We won’t charge your order before we ship, though we will authorize your card when you submit your order. The hold on your funds should be dropped after 3 days if we don’t ship before then.

If I order two products and one is in backorder, do you ship the available one separately?
No. Our site calculates shipping rates for all your items together in a single box, so if you want to buy two products and have one shipped earlier, please place two separate orders.
Do you require a signature for delivery?
It depends on the carrier and the service. For FedEx Ground less than $500, no. Over $500, we require a signature by default.
I want you to declare a lower value for customs. Can you do that?
No.
Will you mark it as a gift or repair?
All shipments will be marked as merchandise with the full retail value as required by U.S. and international law, unless it is, like, actually a repair.
Can I use a reshipper?
Yes, but please be aware of the following before using a reshipper: (1)The 15-day returns window begins the day that your product is delivered to the reshipper (not to you). (2) You have three days from the delivery of your order to make a claim for any loss or damage incurred during shipping. (3) If your order has a problem then we will be sending the repaired or replaced units to the reshipper (not to you).
Wait, what if the carrier loses/damages/eats my package?
Then you file a claim. Claims through FedEx are simple, quick, and straightforward. Claims through USPS are less so.
What if they say it was delivered, but I can’t find my package?
Contact the carrier for proof of delivery, and file a claim with them if they cannot prove delivery. If you believe it was stolen, contact the police and forward their report to the carrier.
Why are you charging me sales tax? I don’t live in Texas!
Sorry, guys, the free ride on sales tax is over. Don’t blame us, blame the feds. Or, specifically, a 2018 Supreme Court ruling (South Dakota v. Wayfair) where they decided that remote retailers (like us) must collect and remit state and local sales taxes. Of course, all the states are now jumping on this (because $), so we need to start collecting and remitting local taxes to all states that have sales taxes.
Ho ho, that’s a scam! How do I know my sales tax is going to my state?
We are working with an industry-leading tax service to ensure the taxes are properly collected and remitted to the appropriate agency.
I don’t want to pay sales tax, even if it goes to my state! This ain’t fair!
Yeah, we get it. This ain’t fun. We don’t want to collect and remit to literally thousands of different local tax jurisdictions (for those of you who live in a state with a blanket sales tax, consider that the sales tax in many states varies by county and city...and for those of you living in a state with no sales tax, please have a hearty laugh at our expense.) If you don’t like this, contact your state and federal representatives and let them know how you feel. We don’t make the law. We simply do our best to comply with the letter and spirit of it.
I'm not in the USA, do I pay sales tax?
Nope! You're exempt from our craziness. Also, you don't have to try to claw back any VAT, because we don't have that. So no sales tax and no VAT for international orders. You may have your own craziness in the form of customs and local taxes, so please be aware of those.
